Coaches
Manoj Baishya: Former National Team's Wicket keeper Batsman and still playing from Bhairawa as a opner Batsman in National side.Played U-19 Asia Cup(Singapore) and U- 19 World Cup 2000( Sri lanka), ACC Trophy 2004 ( Malaysia),World Cup Qualifying Series IV in Malaysia.
Birendra Bikram Shah: A former U-19 cricketer of Nepal. He played at the Youth world cup in 2000 in Sri Lanka. He is a proud member of the first batch of Nepal cricket team when Nepal qualified to play at the youth world cup in 2000 opening the gates for our fellow youth cricketers. He is mainly known as an explosive, stylish batsman of Nepal with his gentle swing bowling. Later Birendra also qualified to play for the seniors during the ICC trophy held in Canada in 2001. These days Birendra has been professionally coaching the school kids for a few years. It’s a great boost for the academy to have such staff come and coach having being a past player..
Dipendra Chaudhary: Regular National Player and play from Kathmandu region as a opening Batsman.Played U- 19 World cup ( Srilanka), ACC Trophy 1998,2001,2002,2004,2006 and also World Cup Qualifying Division V and IV. ACC T-20 Matches and also he completed his Level one in coaching Department.
Jack Dent: He is from South Australia and plays for Kensington District Cricket Club in Adelaide and also coaches at this club. He
did his Level One course from Australia in coaching Department.He came to Nepal from a special Recommendation of Shangrila Cricket Academy to share his coaching skill with us.
The academy also promises to have guest coaches from abroad with the assistance from CAN on regular intervals.
Management:
Aamir Akhtar: Also a former U-19 cricketer for Nepal. Aamir has played few important innings for U-19 cricket for Nepal. He is a left arm opening pace bowler and a useful middle order left hand batsman as well. Aamir Akhtar is the first and only Nepali cricket to play professional cricket in England and currently playing in the second XI as a trialist for Surrey county cricket club in England. He has also captained the University of Luton cricket team (England) for two years and played British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) leagues regularly. Recently Aamir again toured for Nepal cricket team for the four day test against Namibia at Windhoek, Namibia. All these tours and foreign experiences would definitely be injected into the academy of producing players of higher caliber. So Aamir helps the academy with its various set ups, facilities, assuring discipline and occasional talks with the students in exchanging the information. Thus he is more involved in bringing the right management and administration for the academy to cater excellent facilities.
